The shoe makers son “finally” has some shoes…..

February 18, 2011

I’m sure many of you have heard the old saying ” the shoe makers son has no shoes”, well that was the case of my own master bath floor… My wife and I built a home in San Clemente, Ca approximately 3 years ago. After tiling 4 showers, 3 bath floors, a kitchen backsplash and a loft/art area there were a few more areas to be tiled. My Master bath floor was one of them. After years of hem-hawing around and trying to select the perfect tile I finally found time to install the floor.

There was 1/4″ Hardibacker installed on the floor that had been down for about 3 years, it was dirty and ugly and I am happy to see it get covered up!

This is the “old hardibacker” view entering the bath..

And the new view! We chose a 12″x12″ St. Laurent marble, it is a coffee bean brown color with white veining, beautiful movement and some hints of copper color lightly scattered in…

Old view from the shower…

New view from the shower….

A different view…

Well that’s all for now….. The next items on my list are the Master bath vanity backsplash, and re-tiling my Master bath shower floor to better match the new beautiful marble floor just installed… Stay tuned for more pictures!!

I was lucky to find your everythingtile.net web site. I have to say that it’s a great blog! I admire how comprehensive each of the entries are. They are well balanced, both informational and amusing, and the pictures are great too.
